Join us for a drop-in workshop exploring the future of rivers and their environmental importance with young artists from Room 13 Hareclive and curator Joe Lyward at Hauser & Wirth Somerset.
Co-led by the Room 13 Hareclive young people and wider collective, the event will encourage participants to move around different creative stations, using materials to create, experiment and imagine our future. The activities are designed to encourage reflection on what we care about and what needs to be cared for within the environment.
This event is part of Spike Island and Hauser & Wirth Somerset’s 2026 – 2027 Engagement Fellowship program—‘Should we Plant a Tree?’—working with curator Joe Lyward. Through artist-led workshops, discussions and field trips, the program explores care, responsibility and how we imagine a future beyond ourselves, co-creating a proposal for a 100-year project.
